All too often when dieting, I need chocolate. Seriously. So here is my Protein Mug Cake Recipe that cuts right through my craving. I run out of high protein things (that are cake) I can fit into my meal plan that are satisfying beyond chicken, oats, and rice. This Protein Mug Cake Recipe, using Beast Whey of course, is a treat I will make at the end of a long day. I tend to find myself craving more food at night, either out of boredom or after I’ve stuck to a diet plan for weeks on end, sticking to the same food groups. This is where these Beast Whey Mug Cakes come in to play. I make one of these after my last meal of the day, and really take the time to enjoy it.
Beast Whey Mug cake Ingredients:
1 Scoop Beast Whey Powder - Chocolate Flavor (vanilla if you must)
1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp Stevia
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 egg whites
1 Tbsp. almond milk or water
1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a mug (protein powder, cocoa powder, Stevia, and baking soda) with a fork until well blended and there are no clumps.
2. Add in the eggs and almond milk and mix until smooth.
2 options for filling- 1tbs of White chocolate P28 spread. Whichever filling you choose, after mixing all the ingredients, drop into the center of the mug before microwaving.
Microwave for 1 minute on high (give or take depending on your microwave).
The batter will rise over the edge of the mug. You can stop the microwave and push it back down until the mug cake has finished cooking.
Optional topping: fat-free whipped cream.
