A Salsa Recipe Perfect for MLB Opening Day
Posted by Leslie McCatherine on
Make every game day a hit with this quick and easy salsa that everyone can enjoy. I always use fresh organic ingredients for the salsa mixture and then pair it up with blue corn tortilla chips. Swapping the usual greasy potato chips and French onion dip with this healthy alternative will not only save you calories, your body will thank you for it later! If you’re really trying to watch your calories, mix up some Aminolytes in a pitcher to avoid any temptation. I prefer the Beast Punch flavor and your friends will think you’re drinking a Cosmopolitan!
Ingredients:
1 ¼ cup Diced Red Peppers
¾ cup Diced Red Onions
1 cup Diced Green Onions
3 cups Diced Tomatoes
1 tbsp Finely chopped up Fresh Cilantro
1 tbsp Minced Garlic Cloves
½ tbsp Chilli Powder
½ tbsp Grounded Cayenne Red Pepper
3 tbsp Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
2 tbsp Green Chillies OR Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
1 bag Blue Corn Tortilla Chips
Directions:
Wash all of your vegetables and then finely dice them up by hand or in a food processor. Mix all of your vegetables with your spices and lime juice in a large bowl. Let the salsa sit and marinate for an hour before serving. After you’ve let it marinate for an hour, pour into a serving dish and add blue corn tortilla chips around the sides and you’re done!
