Want BIG arms?

Posted by Connie K on

Every guy is looking for the ultimate arm workout to get those beach-ready guns. Yep, I may value a balanced physique, but I'm really no different.  Chasing the elusive 20" just like everyone else.  I decided to turn up the volume a bit on my arm workout, see if I could add an inch or so to the ole' guns this offseason and perhaps reach that goal. (I need new shirts anyway.)
Directions for use:
For an ultimate pump, perform the following workout using weights appropriate to your strength. As always, you want to fight for the last 2-3 reps, and you must use good form. Take minimal rest between sets to maintain intensity. Warning, the following workout may cause explosive arm pumps that prevent you from eating your post-workout noms and may cause unnatural bi and tri growth resulting in awesome arms that will only be able to be referred to as cannons.

Standing E-Z Bar Curls

Supersetted with:
Straight Bar Tricep Pull Downs (cable)
3 x 10-12
Hammer Curls
3 x 10-12
Supersetted with:
Tricep Kickbacks

Pullover Press

Reverse Straight Bar Curls

Tricep Press Machine

Fair warning, I've done this workout with several people, and so far none of them have been able to make it completely through. Few others have tried, and met with varying stages of success. I've been doing it for a few weeks, and can tell that I'm already adding on some quality size. We'll see if I can get up to that magic 20" before my next competition. Try it out, and let me know how it works for you!
