New Year, New Day, New Week.....New Motivation

Posted by BEAST Sports on

Heading into the new year, we all have goals, plans, and accomplishments that we'd like to see happen. Whether you're a person that says you don't believe in "resolutions" or not, everyone that works out is set out to accomplish one thing or another. It could be improving on something sports related, body composition, increase in strength, and last but not least get healthier.
If it takes a NEW year to start up your plan, so be it. Better late, than never! That also means that just because you haven't made it into the gym, or started your new routine yet, that it's too late. Its not people! We still have 340+ days left...So here are my 5 golden tips to help you start your 2012 off right.
1) Don't overdo it! Yea, i said it. Make a small goal first. For example, my very first 2012 goal was to drink a water with 1/2 lemon every single morning. That's it! My first goal wasn't "Oh, i'm gonna gain 73lbs of lean mass by April"...I'd like to, but that wasn't my goal"
2) Stay consistent! Don't give up cuz one workout "hurt" or "sucked".
3) Take it 1 day at a time. This goes hand in hand with number 2.
4) Write it all out. Grab a notepad and put it on your desk, or nightstand. It doesn't feel great seeing your to-do list have nothing checked off every single morning, so it'll make you DO IT!
5) Sooner to it, sooner you get through it! Don't wanna do legs? DO IT! Sooner to it, sooner you get through it...And trust me, you'll be happy you did.2012 and the 340+ days left is plenty of time for you to take over... Just have to prepare yourself in the right way.Figure out your 5. Write it down......DO IT!
