Danny's Diary-Through the Eyes of a Beast

Posted by Danny Quach on

My best portrayal in scribing down the chaos that goes through my mind on paper. My personal thoughts and muses with simple and complex notions on an ever long journey to become Big, Strong, Fit, Healthy—to become a Beast. Entry #4 Dream Big I ran across this quote a couple days back: “if your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough.” To be honest, my dreams do scare the living daylights out of me because of the fact that I fear failing.  I hate the idea of failing. I hate that lingering doubt in the back of my mind that I may not accomplish something even if I genuinely put all my being into it whole-heartedly. That’s what dreams are for… they’re an outlet for those who want it bad enough, those who will face potential failure and those who are willing to face the occasional bouts of self doubt. It’s that drive that separates second-tier and overall supremacy. It’s those that use that fear as fuel to their fire that will be on top. Because once you overcome that fear and doubt, you’ve cleared the way for your dreams to become reality. I try to face my fear daily. Sometimes I win, and sometimes I let it my fear get the best of me. But I still push towards my dream. The reasons for dreams are to make them come true.  I challenge you continually dream with reckless abandon. I want you to dream of the impossible.  Because if this dream scares you, and you defeat the fear, you’ve defeated the impossible. And once you defeated the impossible, what else stands in the way of what you truly want to conquer in life? Only then will you see that “impossible” is only another word And only then you’ll see that dreams do come true.    width= Danny Quach is a senior at the University of Georgia and he’s studying Health Promotion and Behavior.  He’s a powerlifter at heart and has done it for over six years.  He just competed in his first bodybuilding show in Summer of 2011.  For powerlifting, he holds some Georgia records.  In his first bodybuilding competition, he placed 2nd in Novice in INBF Southern States.  On his spare time he’s a part of the University of Georgia’s cheerleading co-ed squads; his favorite past-time?
